My Master Blog Post Checklist.
We all know there is a lot more that goes into creating a successful blog post than just writing but we’re not always sure what to include. Thankfully there are a lot of guides out there and time tested strategies.
Writing a blog post can be daunting, but thankfully there are a lot of strategies you can use so you can focus on writing and growing.
remember to Create a Blog Post Template
One of my favorite ways to quickly get a blog post written is to create a basic outline and then copy it every time I want a new post.
On mine I usually include a Pinnable header image, a link to my RSS feed, a quote block, related posts, and links to my social media ready to go. If you use Squarespace or Wordpress with a block editor, setting these up ahead of time is really easy.
Once you have a template made, all you have to do is figure out the specifics for each blog post. These include specific keywords, images, alt text, specific links, tags and categories.

Depending on your blog you may not need to check off everything on this list or there might be other items you need as well. Every blog is different and it’s important to remember to customize this list as you need it.
You might realize later on that you might need to focus more on researching or you might put in different blocks depending on what’s successful for you.
This list might seem like a lot of work, however once you get into the groove of what works for you, this will become a lot easier! But especially for new bloggers, I think having a checklist, a template, and an outline of your blogposts are very helpful.
Do you have anything specific you already do for your blog posts?
